The absorption of both types of skincare products is quite limited due to the skin’s natural protective barrier.
Hydrophilic ingredients have difficulty passing through the sebum membrane layer of the skin, while lipophilic ingredients have difficulty being absorbed by the skin. Through "emulsification technology", the characteristics of the two can be combined , and the lipophilic ingredients can pass the hydrophilic skin care products through the stratum corneum and penetrate into the bottom layer of the skin, effectively replenishing the nutrients needed by the skin. However, after emulsification, the particle size of most products is still very large, ranging from about 5,000 to more than 50,000 nanometers, making it difficult to truly reach the bottom layer of the skin.
